Audit
I completed the computing audit located at tinyurl.com/auditsd. 9th September 2014
The overall result of the audit was a grade B, which means that overall I am generally confident with my computing knowledge and skills. However I hope throughout this course to build on this knowledge base with a developing pedagogical knowledge, which will allow me to be an effective Primary Teacher of Computing.

Action Plan
1. Coding is a new area within the National Curriculum, this is a branch of computing that I am fairly confident in however I need to familiarise myself with child friendly computing programs such as Scratch. I aim to have achieved this by December.
Update: GPP- I have taught coding on 2 occasions using the scratch program. (see coding section for review of this and other coding applications)
2. I need to develop my pedagogical knowledge of Computing in order to be an effective teacher of computing. This will be an ongoing target, and my confidence in this will mainly grow through teaching computing and observing others that teach computing.
3. To develop effective strategies for teaching E- Safety in school. (See E-Safety section of this website)
4. To use an Interactive Whiteboard effectively to enhance all areas of the curriculum.
Update: GPP- I feel that I have made some use of the Interactive whiteboard during this placement, however I can still develop using the Interactive Whiteboard in a more interactive way for the children.
Update: FPP- I now feel that I am making good use of the Interactive whiteboard in most lessons, I have developed interactive quizzes, used video to enhance lesson and now feel confident to use many more of the features that Smart Notebook has to offer. This is still an ongoing target, but I think that I am making good progress.
Within the Computing experience section of this website I will give detail of the computing skills and pedagogy that I have developed throughout the PGCE course. I will also analyses how useful each section has been for my computing development and any drawbacks or difficulties that it may pose within the classroom.

After the initial submission of my showcase website I have received the following feedback:
In light of this feedback I have added more detail and time scale to my action plan, I have also updated my website with an FPP update to show the module that I am currently teaching, and updated the E- Safety section of the website with information from my FPP placement. Furthermore I have added more computing information including my use of the computing unplugged website in FPP and the IPad app Daisy the Dinosaur.
